Licenses can be tied to external devices called dongles. This allows licenses to be moved to different systems by moving this dongle. SFLM uses a dongle produced by Aladdin Knowledge Systems known as a HASP. However, to read a HASP, a driver must be installed on the system. SFLM currently supports Parallel and USB HASPs on Windows systems and USB HASPs on Linux systems. When the SFLM server is installed, we install the latest Aladdin HASP driver that we have tested. However, as new hardware or OS versions are released, these drivers may become obsolete. You can contact your vendor for support if needed or download drivers directly from Aladdin's website.
